Shinedown waited out the rain on Saturday August 3rd to play for a sold out crowd at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. Shinedown has been a rock and roll staple at the festival for many years. With their radio hits and family friendly vibe they make the perfect addition.
The night was a wet one. With thunderstorms moving through the area, the start of concert kept getting moved back with every lightening strike. The venue was evacuated while the storms passed and the crowd was allowed to re-enter a couple hours later. Shinedown finally hit the stage at 9:50 and quickly got to work.
Shinedown was able to get in their full 16 song set to the delight of everyone. There were a few showers that passed through but not a soul cared. Everyone was soggy but had a beer in hand, sang along and cheered with every pop of pyro. The set included fan favorites, some newer material and a couple of covers. There was something for everyone. Shinedown is one of the best live bands out there. They know how to work the crowd, how to wow everyone with their pyrotechnics and how to select a setlist that will make both new and old fans happy. They are almost always on tour so check them out when they come around, you won't be dissapointed.
