KREWE ORLEANS AT SOUNDCHECK STUDIOS

On March 28, 2025, Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA, welcomed Krewe Orleans.  Led by Ricky James (keys/vocals), the band features an all-star lineup of musicians from bands like Neighbor, Bearly Dead, Dud Apocalypse, Booty Vortex, The Nth Power, and more.

At Soundcheck Studios hundreds of eager fans attended the concert. It was a terrific night of music. A night of funky beats, blazing solos, and nonstop dancing. Krewe Orleans delivered an unforgettable New Orleans style party. With a brass-fueled sound and deep grooves, Krewe Orleans channels the magic of Mardi Gras and the legacy of legends like The Meters, Dr. John, and Professor Longhair.

Just as some well-known jam bands including: The Grateful Dead, Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic etc... Krewe Orleans performed the show in Pembroke with substantial improvisational “jamming,” often extending pre-existing songs with extended improvisations over chord patterns or rhythmic groves.

Having a very fluid structure, playing long sets of music which often cross genre boundaries, varying their nighty setlists, and segueing from one song into another without a break… Krewe Orleans at Soundcheck Studios extended instrumental improvisation that highlighted each band member’s technical skill and creativity. They blended several musical styles, drawing from rock, jazz, blues, funk, and other genres, creating a unique sound for a great night of music.
