On February 18th, 2025- Born of Osiris performed at the Music Farm in Charleston, SC with special guests: Lost in Seperation, Axty, Entheos, and one of my favorites Within Destruction. This show was insanely energetic from start to finish. The atmosphere at the Music Farm was filled with aggressive moshing, screaming along to lyrics, and of course sweating which meant as I was walking around capturing shots; I instantly gained a new smell to my body and it wasn’t a good one!

Opening the night was Lost In Separation and I never personally listened to this band before, but I always learned that sometimes going to shows not knowing every single band makes the experience even more feverish in my opinion. This band honestly blew me away with their performance. Lost in Separation set the tone for the rest of the night and the amount of energy each member had on stage made it difficult to photograph because I felt like I kept missing out on shots if I focused too much on one member. The vocalist engaged with the crowd and photographer’s so much throughout the set which makes it more memorable in my eyes. Bands that don’t interact with photographers or the attendees in my opinion need to because it makes that show for people unforgettable!

Next up was AXTY and this is another band I’ve never listened to, but I learned they are from Brazil which automatically means that they are good because any band that is not from the states are the best bands. I was not prepared for this set at all because Lost In Separation was heavy, but not heavy like this. The band was so captivating from start to finish that I usually get easily distracted at shows, but it was hard to take photos because I was so engrossed in their set. If you want to experience a high-energy set make sure you check out this band!

Entheos was next and I’ve seen this band twice! The first time was actually at this venue and I had never listened to them before at that time, but the last time I saw them was in Charlotte, NC on the As I Lay Dying’s tour! Chaney is a beast of a vocalist and the dark and ominous lights made her performance even more intense. Their set was very difficult to photograph because of how dark it was, but Entheos is a progressive metal band and we all know these bands love their sets DARK. Like I stated before; I never personally listened to the band's music, but I do love their performance on stage. The band's presence on stage is so illuminating yet luring and when I saw Chaney come out with the gothic dress; I knew the set was going to be memorable.

Within Destruction was next and I haven’t seen them since they toured with Crystal Lake, Fame on Fire, and Sim’s last year in Charlotte NC! This band has easily become one of my favorite bands in the last three years and their album’s have been consistently on repeat. They performed songs such as Survival, Toxic, Animetal, and No Way Out. As I was photographing, I sang along to every single song that was performed. This band has such a versatile sound with electronic, heavy and clean vocals and adding anime sounds to the tracks as well. And Luke (Drummer) is one of my favorite drummers of all time, so being able to capture images of him again was a blessing! I actually went into the pit for their set with my camera to take photos and yes, I dodged and weaved to prevent people in the pit doing Naruto moves on me, but this band was worth the risk!

Finally it was time for Born of Osiris and the last time I saw this band was when they toured with Attila, Traitors, and Not Enough Space I believe! I drove 6 hours for that show that was in a very small intimate venue. Born Of Osiris performed songs from albums such as The Eternal Reign, Angel or Alien, and my favorite Tomorrow We Die Alone! This band has to be one of my top favorite psychedelic bands when it comes to keyboards. This is the band that made me love this sound in the early 2000’s when “The Discovery” album came out in 2011! During their set; there were a few crowd surfers that almost took us photographers out, but that’s what we like to see at shows like this! Fans engage with the band and enjoy themselves. The lights were so erratic during their set that my eyeballs couldn’t even adjust to the stage, but the lights matched the rhythm and how versatile the set was. I would see this band consistently if I could because this band brings back such nostalgia and it reminds me of the days when it was easier and more carefree!
